About GK2 Layout Planner
A free, fan-made planner for Graveyard Keeper 2. Lay out the Underground Factory, workyard, graveyard, church, morgue and garden on a grid, check the layout against the game’s rules, and get the bill of materials before you build.

Where the numbers come from
Recipes, technology costs, factory power, quality values, body capacity and spot counts come from the graveyardkeeper2.io datamine of the game files (game build of September 2026). Most values have that single source; where a second source agreed, we mark it confirmed internally. Claims we could not trace to the game files are either left out or labelled as community advice.
What is exact and what is a schematic
- Rules the planner enforces: factory power (each belt cell, underground cell, splitter and supply station costs 1; each carousel zombie gives 7; workbenches and extensions draw none), one small and one large extension spot per machine, the fixed furniture spots in the church, graveyard areas on their plots, the Tool Rack next to its workbench, and per-zone limits such as 5 carousels.
- Schematic: the game does not publish building footprints or room sizes, so tile sizes and spot positions on the grid are approximations. Counts are data; positions are a sketch.
- Planning advice, not game rules: the workyard walking-lane check and the 2-tile chest radius are shown as hints, not errors.
- Not yet verified: building footprints and room sizes (see above), and the underground conveyor’s reach: the planner lets an exit sit up to 5 tiles from its entrance, while some guides describe a fixed 5-tile span.

Privacy
The planner runs in your browser and needs no account. Your draft and ticked materials stay in this browser’s storage, and a share link carries the layout itself in the URL; neither is sent to us.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and planners are used. It sets cookies and sends Google your page views, an approximate location and device details, under Google’s privacy policy.
